These Are the Days of Miracle and Wonder

I had my first dream about Liberia the other night. It's a little hazy now, but I was doing something in my (imaginary) house with my (imaginary) roommate. The door was open to a dusty yard out front and there was some kind of brightly-colored fabric fluttering in the window. I was trying to do or find something, and all I really remember about the task was that it was both vital and mundane, something one does every day, part of a well-worn routine. Part of my everyday life.

I woke up excited for that life to begin.

Is it weird that it took a dream to make this adventure real for me? I had dreams of Ghana before I studied abroad, too. I guess it means that it's time to get ready. To that end, I have made my packing list, a to-do list, and a to-buy list.

T-27 days, but who's counting?

New Beginnings

We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time. -T. S. Eliot

I'm on the verge of new adventures...
